American TV personality Bethenny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy have decided to go their separate ways after being married for two years, according to Just Jared. For months the couple has been surrounded by rumors about issues in their marriage. No one knew if it was for real but now Frankel has finally confirmed the split.

"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family," the site quoted Frankel. "We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter [Bryn] who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."

She earlier tweeted, "I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family." Following this tweet, concerned followers have been tweeting Frankel and showing their love and support.

The couple, who got married in 2010, has documented their relationship and marriage through two reality shows, "Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After..." The 42-year-old shot to fame with the show, "The Real Housewives of New York City" in 2008.

Since then she has founded her Skinnygirl line of cocktails, shapewear and nutritional supplements, released a fitness video and also published a novel "Skinnydipping." She also launched a talk show titled "Bethenny" that is set to go on air in 2013.

In an interview with the People Magazine in 2011, Frankel had admitted that the couple almost split due to the pressures of her career. "We've been scared," she said. "The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side."

Before Hoppy, the popular TV personality was married to Peter Sussman whom she later divorced.
