Looks like Korean rapper Psy too has gotten tired of dancing to "Gangnam Style" as he has decided to leave behind the hit song and move on this year. Psy who performed the hit number at the 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' at the Times Square believes that though the "Gangnam Style" tag will never leave him he would like to ring in the new year with new songs.

"Being in Times Square on New Year's Eve is already special - it's the biggest stage in the universe - plus it's my birthday, so, with all that, it may be the ending of 'Gangnam Style,'" Psy told MTV News. "I mean, what better way to do it? It's my biggest and most meaningful birthday."

He also said that though the song became extremely popular worldwide, it's time for a new single. And it wasn't just his song that entertained music fans. Fashion-lovers too couldn't help aping his style of the blue tuxedo with black lapels. The tuxedo that the rapper is seen wearing in the music video went on to make a popular Halloween costume.

Former movie marketing executive, Dana Precious and photographer, Peter Tangen designed and released "Gangnam Style" costumes especially for the spooky festival. The look featured bright green and powder blue tuxedo jackets for both men and women.

Not just costumes, Psy's style of dancing has even been immortalized by Brilliance, a retailer of diamonds, fine jewelry and engagement rings in the United States in the form of a custom-made horse diamond pendant.

Who thought that the Korean rapper would be this popular especially in a region like North America where numerous other Korean artists have found it impossible to make a mark. And the best is that the lyrics of "Gangnam Style" are mostly in Korean
