We always thought that when it comes to elegance and style, very few can compete with Hollywood hottie Halle Berry. And she proves us right every single time. While the cropped hair would look disastrous on some people when teamed with formal gowns, the actress has always managed to carry the look with grace, like she did at the German premiere of her upcoming film, “Cloud Atlas” at Cinestar in Berlin, according to a report by justjared.com.

The actress, who usually opts for daring outfits, went sober and chic in a navy floor-length dress with a slit on the side that ran up a little above her knees. The dress clung to her famous curves and the slit showed off her super-toned legs. She paired the dress with gray strappy sandals.

The 46-year-old beamed at the red carpet with a tinge of blush, smokey eyes and nude lips. She accessorized with a pair of stylish metallic earrings and chunky bracelets on her wrist, and looked heavenly with her trademark crop.

For the Russian premiere of the movie, she was seen in a sultry leather knee-length dress that was semi-sheer and complimented her figure beautifully and for the Hollywood premiere, Berry dazzled in a very classy metallic strapless number.

Berry might have reigned at the red carpet but when it comes to acting legend Tom Hanks, how can he be overshadowed? The actor looked dapper and sophisticated in a fitted black suit and a scarf.

Later, Berry and Hanks even kept the audience entertained as they broke into an impromptu jig. Also present at the premiere were directors Andy Wachowski, Tom Tykwer and Lana Wachowski.

“Cloud Atlas” debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, with a wide release date of Oct. 26. The film will be released in Germany Nov. 13.
