Avon Products has announced an addition to its board of directors as it elects Charles H. Noski as a member. The decision comes into effect immediately. Noski’s presence increases Avon’s Board to 12 directors.

“We are pleased to welcome Chuck to Avon's Board. An accomplished executive with extensive senior leadership background, he has a wealth of experience that will benefit the company as we work toward a turnaround,” Andrea Jung, executive chairman, Avon Products, Inc., said.

A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from California State University, Northridge, Noski brings along a lot of experience. He has served as vice chairman of Bank of America Corporation after holding the post of executive vice president and chief financial officer in the same company. He has also been the corporate vice president and chief financial officer of Northrop Grumman Corporation, as well as a director.

In addition, Noski has also served as the chief financial officer and vice chairman of the Board of AT&T Corporation, has been a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, held numerous important positions at Hughes Electronics Corporation and has also been director of Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., Automatic Data Processing, Inc., and Morgan Stanley.

Avon, the company for women, is world-renowned for its cosmetics and has a variety of skincare, fragrance, hair care and other products. It recently launched a breakthrough product, ANEW Clinical Pro Line Eraser Treatment, with a flash mob at New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles.

“Chuck's significant board experience coupled with his CFO roles at major global corporations enables him to provide valuable expertise as we continue to take steps to move the business forward and deliver value to our shareholders,” Fred Hassan, Avon's lead independent director, said.
