Vegas Beauty Unbound, producer of Battle of the Strands, has announced that Stylin’ for a Cure and Plush Salon have qualified for the online voting round of Battle of the Strands 2012: Xtreme Beauty. The announcement was made through a press release.

Selected from a large number of entries, 22 salons have qualified for the event. They will battle it out in the first round, which will result in the elimination of 12 teams. The qualifying 10 teams will be flown to Las Vegas for a competition that will assess their creativity, resourcefulness and teamwork in the areas of hair, makeup, and the creation of beauty.

Another five teams will be eliminated in this round and the remaining five will compete in the final battle at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, to win the title of Battle of the Strands Xtreme Salon Champion. The event will be hosted by master colorist to Hollywood A-listers, Kim Vo. Vo’s clients include Britney Spears, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson and Pamela Anderson.

Vegas Beauty Outbound is scheduled from Oct. 20 to 22 and will also feature the Mane, Style, and Face Forum. It will be a platform to present educational classes to beauty professionals. Professionals will be introduced to new tools, colors and opportunities to market their skills. The Forum will also hold the Art & Beauty Unbound Student Competition, Beauti Gras Halloween Celebration and a Mardi Gras done Vegas-style, Oct. 21.
