Vegas Beauty Unbound, a fashion, beauty, and style competition, has named designer Nick Verreos as the wardrobe judge for the “Battle of the Strands: Xtreme Beauty” finale, through a press release.
The finale that is scheduled to be held at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, has the final five teams competing to bring a hair, makeup and fashion creation to life.
Talking about the event, Erin Utter, director of operations for Vegas Beauty Unbound said, “We are thrilled that a fashion expert and personality such as Nick Verreos has agreed to be a judge at our finale. Nick’s contemporary style, trained eye, insights and quick wit will add a new dimension to our competition.”
Verreos, who is a Project Runway alumnus, has been roped in to judge the finished look, which includes attention paid to the quality of workmanship, creativity and level of difficulty. Other judges, who haven’t been announced yet, will evaluate makeup, hair, style, and overall presentation.
Nick Verreos received national and international appreciation during Project Runway and since then, has been a fashion expert on TV Guide, E!, Style Network, Lifetime, CNN and MTV. Verreos started his own design firm, Nikolaki, with partner David Paul in 2001.
Vegas Beauty Outbound is a three-day event that starts Oct. 20. Battle of the Strands is a beauty show that features salons and stylists from across the country, out of which only one gets the title.
