Deciem's The Ordinary is well-known for their straightforward skincare formulations and their super affordable price range. Last year, two of their skincare products came highly recommended by both the TikTok crowd and dermatologists. One was their potent exfoliant, the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, that became an online sensation thanks to its blood red color and the second was their ultra-moisturizing and dermatologist-approved Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. Those two products, which are both under $8, remain in-demand and a new product may soon enjoy the same popularity.

Enter The Ordinary Concealer. While The Ordinary already has makeup products in the market - the Lightweight Serum Foundation and the High Coverage Foundation, the brand's fans have been patiently waiting for a concealer to complete their makeup base. Both foundation lines offer 21 inclusive shades and now, the highly anticipated concealer will be following their footsteps and will also be released in 21 shades. Apart from the shade number, a skin undertone identifier also joins the concealer shade: N for neutral undertones, P for pink, R for red and Y for yellow. Deciem's Chief Scientific Officer Prudvi Kaka has also mentioned to Refinery29 that there will also be 15 new shades that will be launched later this year. The Allure beauty editors were some of the lucky few that got to sample the concealers first.

The first reviews are in.

The Ordinary Concealer comes in a lipstick-sized tube with a nozzle to dispense the product. Allure's Sarah Han says that it's a little too thick to spread with the fingers, but it's a full-coverage concealer after all. She advices using a concealer brush or sponge to apply it and says that two small dots of the concealer already took care of the redness on her nose and the rest of her T-zone. Editorial assistant Gabriela Thorne adds that a little goes a long way. The finish, they describe, is a natural matte and if you prefer a dewier look, just top it off with a mist. Allure also gave it their Best of Beauty award.
