Nicole Richie Talks Fashion,Style and her new collaboration with Macy's Impulse collection.

Nicole Richie's known for her reality tv show, but more recently as a fashion designer for the House of Harlow collection. The 30 year-old fashion designer's cloths have been worn by many celebrities from Modana to Ashlee simpson. In 2010 Richie won Glamour's "Women of the Year Award" 1960's -esque brand.

In recent interview with TeenVogue, Nicole expressed her excitement for the new collaboration with Macy's started while filming "Fashion Star." I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the head Macy's buyers while working with the designers and having them present their collections to Macy's." The fashion designer became familiar with the Macy's brand and it was natural that she would asked by Macy's to create the new "Impulse Collection."

The collection includes prints and various designs from jewl tones, peacock prints, aztec prints and does bare some similarities with Nicole's personal fashion brand "House of Harlow."

Macy's Inc. chief marketing officer Martine Reardon also talked about the collection and described it as "bohemian chic," adding that the line will have a "very definitive look, very free style and ... pay homage to [Richie's] style."

The Impulse collection will feature 30 pieces and will be available online on Macys.com and about 100 Macy's locations. Nicole graciously is also on the photoshoot for the Macy's Impulse collection.

Nicole also revealed that her stylish icon was 80's show "Punkie Brewster," which she watched as a 10 year old. Nicole mentioned that she is keen on the 70's esque styles and had alot of fun being exposed to "Punkie Brewster," styles.

Nicole's secret fashion must have is a "go-to blazer" which is a must have for the fashion designer, and for tips for bad hair day Nicole suggest hair braiding, "I learn how to French braid, and I've been braiding forever. So I'm a very good braider, which is kind of always my go-to for those out of control, crazy hair days."
