Apple cider vinegar (ACV)

Basil leaves

Coconut oil with lemon

Apart from keeping your hair nourished, coconut oil has an antibacterial effect, and when mixed with lemon juice, it could treat the tiny flakes. Heat two tablespoons of the oil then add an equal amount of lemon juice. Apply on your scalp and leave for 20 minutes before rinsing it off.

Curd

By applying curd directly onto your scalp, you could get dandruff treatment. Let it dry for an hour then rinse off with shampoo. 

Egg yolk

Egg yolks provide nourishment and shine onto our hair, as a result, it moisturizes hair preventing dandruff. Apply yolk onto dry hair and scalp then cover with a plastic bag for an hour. Wash as usual using a gentle shampoo. 

Fenugreek

Research shows that fenugreek seeds help prevent the growth of dandruff fungi. Soak the seeds overnight then mash them the next day to make a paste. Add lemon juice and apply onto your scalp, leaving it for 30 minutes. Shampoo your hair and allow it to dry as normal.

Garlic

Extracts of henna or mehndi are found to prevent the growth of the bacteria that causes dandruff. Make a paste out of mehndi with curd and a small amount of lemon juice, then set aside for eight hours. Apply it onto your hair, then let dry for two hours before rinsing.
