Former Glee star Naya Rivera, mother to one-year-and-a-half-old son Josey Dorsey, talked about the realities of being a mother.

According to E! News, Naya Rivera in a magazine interview shared about suffering from "mom guilt all the time" even if she slowed down on her career. The former Glee actress added that as a mother she desires a lot of things for her child and not being there all the time makes it "natural" for someone to feel that way.

Naya Rivera, as cited in the report, also shared that she had a support system which helped her cope with the difficult parenting moments. One of her former co-star in the musical show Heather Morris was said to be one of those people who helped her.

The 30-year-old actress also advised mothers that since the whole "mom guilt" thing is there "forever," this should not be a hindrance for mothers to feel guilty about taking care of themselves. The former Glee star shared that going to a self-pampering session composed of facial and manicure is her itinerary when her toddler is napping.

Naya Rivera is raising her little boy with whom he shares with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey. The two reportedly got married back in 2014 and separated last year.

Moreover, the former Glee star has always been vocal about sharing and inspiring others with her experiences. Last year, as reported in People, Naya Rivera shared about suffering from anorexia and getting an abortion in her younger year in her memoir titled "Sorry Not Sorry" which was released last year. In the excerpt of the memoir cited, she revealed that she found out that she was pregnant with ex Ryan Dorsey in 2010 a few weeks after their breakup. But the actress chose not to tell the actor and abort the pregnancy in order to focus on her career. Naya Rivera, as reported, said that even though it was not easy opening up what she has been through she is hoping that "someone would get something out of it" especially her toddler Josey.
