The weather has finally decided to smile upon us! It is now time to prep our bodies for the strong sun, intense heat and chlorine that's to come.

No one knows this better than the residents of Las Vegas, so we tapped a few beauty pros from this desert city's top spas for their advice on how to stay sexy in the sun.

Since we all can't splurge on an indulgent spa day, each spa expert gave us effective DIY hair and skin care tips. Now you can ensure your complexion and tresses look their very best no matter what your budget is.

DIY Tips To Correct Uneven Skin Tone

Alisa Vidaurri, lead aesthetician at ESPA at Vdara treats clients to a personalized facial. But if you can't make the trek to see her, she's got an at-home solution for you. One of Vidaurri's favorite household ingredients to include in an at-home facial mixture is lemon juice.

"To eliminate brown spots, fade acne scars and minimize pores, DIY-ers can cut a lemon in half and mix the juice with honey to create a personalized mask," Vidaurri explained. "Apply to clean skin, then let it sit for ten minutes before rinsing to create a brighter, tighter complexion," she instructed.

DIY Tips To Create The Perfect Beach Blowout

Stephanie Doud, Director at The Mirage Salon, knows how to lay on the spa treatment when it comes to hair. Her salon uses caviar to protect hair from damage and breakage for goodness sakes! Now that's what we call pampering!

But Doud also has great DIY advice for those of us who can't spend the big spa bucks. Hey, there's nothing wrong with beauty on a budget!

Doud says, "To create an easy at-home beach-inspired blowout, I suggest applying coconut oil to damaged ends. Next, wrap hair in a damp, warm towel for 20 minutes and then wash your hair," Doud said.

Doud advises DIY-ers to towel-dry their hair. Be sure to leave your locks slightly damp. Then you'll want to braid your hair into sections and blow-dry the remaining moisture. "Undo the braids and complete this look with a light mist of hair spray," the spa expert advised.
