Greg Plitt got into a terrible accident this weekend that took away his life. He was only 37.

The body builder and alumnus of Bravo's cancelled series "Work Out" was reportedly killed on Saturday after he gut struck by a train, Us Weekly reports.

Authorities said, the man who was fatally hit by a Metrolink train in Burbank, Calif., was identified to be the "Friends to Lovers" actor.

Plitt was pronounced dead at the scene by responding authorities following the incident that took place at approximately 4 p.m.

Official details on how and why Plit was hit by the train are yet to be disclosed, but authorities already confirmed that it was an accident.

On the other hand. TMZ has learned that Plitt was actually with a couple of friends when the accident happened.

One witness said the actor and his friends were shooting video around that time and that Plitt was even holding a camcorder in his hands when he suddenly stumbled over the tracks.

Law enforcement officials said Plitt was shooting a workout video at the time.

"It does not appear to be a suicide," Sgt. Scott Meadows from the Burbank Police Department told People. "A camera was seized as evidence but it's unclear who it belongs to - the victim or a witness. From the sound of it, he was filming something, but I can tell you that no filming permit had been issued."

In the wake of the actor's passing, Bravo veteran Andy Cohen led the tribute to the budding actor on Twitter.

"We couldn't take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on 'Work out' - was as nice as he was beautiful. Seemed invincible, like Superman," Cohen wrote

Meanwhile, a Bravo spokesperson said, "This is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with Greg's family and friends."

Apart from being an actor, Greg was also a fitness expert and model, who appeared in a couple of movies including "The Good Shepherd," "Terminator Salvation" and "Six Sex Scenes and a Murder," among others.

As a model, Plitt has worked with Calvin Klein, Old Navy and Under Armour.
