Green was reportedly driving a Range Rover with his model wife when another vehicle - identified by authorities as a Mini Cooper - from the opposite direction sideswiped them.

The Mini Cooper crossed the yellow line and struck Fox and Green's car, enough to blow a tire from the latter.

After hitting the celebrities' car, the Mini Cooper son around before reaching a full stop.

Despite being shaken by the incident, Brian managed to quickly alert the cops, eventually leading to the arrest of the Mini Cooper driver.

Cops said the driver, 35-year-old Ignacio Demaria, was actually drunk and was even twice the legal limit.

"It appeared that the suspect was driving northbound on Benedict Canyon then crossed the double yellow lines into opposing traffic and collided with the victims," Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Officer Sara Faden told Los Angeles Times.

Faden added that Demaria was arrested at 11:10 p.m. at the scene of the accident for suspicion of drunk driving.

The suspect was held on $30,000 bail, but he was released Friday afternoon, as per police documents.

The embattled Mini Cooper driver is expected to be in court on Jan. 5 for the case involving the celebrity couple.

The 28-year-old "Jennifer's Body" star and the 41-year-old "Beverly Hills 90210" alum were fortunately not harmed in the accident, their reps told E! News.

Amid the accident, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green - who are parents to 2-year-old Noah and 9-month-old Bodhi - still made an appearance on the 6th Annual Night of Generosity benefit Friday evening.

The Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire event was reportedly hosted by Queen Latifah, and it was aimed at raising funds to help developing countries obtain clean water.
