Stephen Fry is already a married man. The British comedian-actor has tied the knot with his much younger boyfriend this weekend.

Fry, 57, married his 27-year-old fiancé, Elliot Spencer, this Saturday, and he couldn't be happier to share the news to his Twitter followers, according to Us Weekly.

"Gosh. @ElliottGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing," Spencer wrote as caption to their snap following their wedding.

The couple's wedding at a registry office in the Norfolk town of Dereham, England comes exactly two weeks after they went public about their engagement. They began dating last year.

A few hours after Fry broke the news on Twitter, "House" lead actor Hugh Laurie reacted on the social networking site saying, "Bloody hell it's happened! @ElliottGSpencer has made an honest man of m'col. Love and happiness to all!!"

Other stars who congratulated the newlyweds included: Darren Brown, "Sherlock" star Mark Gatiss, Nigella Lawson and Russell Crowe, reports Hello Magazine.

"@stephenfry @ElliottGSpencer congratulations gentle men. So happy for you both," Crowe wrote.

Fry also gushed about his new husband on social media saying, "When your better half lets you watch the @bbcsnooker you know that marriage is a fine thing."

Earlier this month, reports emerged claiming that Fry and the younger comedian are all set to marry each other, the BBC has learned.

At the time, Fry confirmed the speculations by posting a meaningful message on Twitter: "It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"

Prior to marrying Spencer, Fry was romantically linked to actor Steven Webb, who is currently 30 years of age, and salesman Daniel Cohen.

Aside from being a familiar face on television, Fry is also a director of Norwich City Football Club. He is currently the presenter for comedy quiz show QI and has made remarkable appearances in "The Hobbit" and "24: Live Another Day."
