"Saved By The Bell" actor Dustin Diamond, 37, was arrested in the early morning of Dec. 26 in a small town near Milwaukee for carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a switchblade and reckless endangerment, TMZ reported.

According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff, Diamond got into an argument and allegedly stabbed a man with a switchblade at a bar north of Milwaukee, Wis. on Christmas Eve, Reuters reported.

The bar owner said the argument, which quickly escalated, was about photos being taken of the actor.

After stabbing the man, Diamond reportedly drove away with his 27-year-old girlfriend, who is not named by police, in his SUV. The victim suffered profuse bleeding due to a half an inch wound under his armpit, which he did not immediately notice, according to court documents.

On the other hand, the wound was said to be non-life threatening and the man is already home recovering, Port Washington police said.

Not long after the incident, police spotted Dustin and his girlfriend and took them into custody. The said switchblade was found in Dustin's car and his girlfriend was later released but was also charged with disorderly conduct, Washington Post reported.

Police confirmed that the two were at the Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington, Wis., when "an altercation took place."

In court, Diamond claimed self-defense since saying he and his girlfriend were attacked in the bar. The actor's bail was set at $10,000.

Known for his role nerdy teenager named Screech in "Saved By The Bell," Dustin is set to appear in an upcoming film titled "A Dog For Christmas" and in the TV series "The Reel Deal."

Young Artist Award nominated Diamond as Best Young Actor in an Off-Primetime Family Series in 1990 and as Outstanding Young Comedian in a Television Series in 1991 both for his "Saved By The Bell."

Diamond's appearance on Jon Favreau's 2001 film "Made" starring Vince Vaughn and Joe Goossen was nominated by MTV Movie Award as Best Cameo but lost to Snoop Dogg's "Training Day" cameo.
