Markus Persson, the creator of "Minecraft," is now the owner of a $70 million mansion in Beverly Hills, beating out power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z who were also eyeing the same property, E! News reported.

Sources claimed that Persson paid the same amount as the couple, but was ready to hand the cash up front and without any contingencies, which was what solidified the deal.

The mansion, located at the Trousdale Estates, has eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a 360-view of Los Angeles and came fully furnished with features that are controllable via an iPad.

The living room has a 54-foot curved glass door and opens out to an infinity pool; the dining room has an 18-foot onyx dining table that can seat up to 24 people. The master bedroom has his and hers walk-in closets.

It also comes with a large wine cellar, a James Dean's motorcycle replica, a candy room, car showroom, tequila and vodka bars and a screening room slash home theater system.

Beyoncé and Jay Z's offer was one among four bids that have been put down on the mansion, according to Daily Mail.

Branden Williams, the real estate agent in charge of the mansion, initially expected to close the deal with the couple by Christmas day. However, the John Aaroe Group, which represented Perrson during the transaction, were able to close the deal "in a lightning fast six days."

The John Aaroe Group, consisting of agents Katia De Los Reyes and Sally Forster Jones, stated that cases of Dom Perignan were thrown into the deal, adding that the mansion is now the most expensive residence sold in the Beverly Hills 90210 area code, according to Zillow.

The Swish billionaire was able to afford such a purchase after he and his Mojang co-founders sold their company to Microsoft for $2.5 billion.
