The remaining six episodes of the cancelled ABC freshman comedy "Selfie" will be shown on Hulu, acoording to The Hollywood Reporter.

Series creator Emily Kapnek took to Twitter on Monday to announce the news, saying "new episode of #selfieABC up on hulu tomorrow ... one per week thereafter."

The unaired episodes of the show starring "Doctor Who" actress Karen Gillan as Eliza Dooley and "Harold and Kumar" star John Cho as Henry Higgs will be aired on Hulu, Hulu Plus and ABC.com.

Hulu had previously saved another axed series. Last year, it released the eight remaining unaired episodes of the cancelled ABC series starring James Van Der Beek and Krysten Ritter, "Don't Trust the B***h in Apartment 23."

The Alphabet network originally ordered 13 episodes of "Selfie" before it premiered, but decided to pull the plug after the sixth installment due to dismal ratings, according to Deadline. The series debuted to 5.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating, and continued to lose audience as the series unfolded.

The show was part of the network's romantic comedy block slated on Tuesdays, along with "Manhattan Love Story," which was the first ABC show cancelled this season.

"Selfie" tells the story of Dooley, a milennial who is set on becoming Internet famous. She solicits the help of marketing guru Higgs to catapult her to web stardom.

The show's cancellation did not sit well with fans and critics. The Salon called the cancellation "a massive shame."

"It's an unsettling reality that the sitcom with the first Asian romantic lead just got canceled, in a world where the sitcom with an Asian lead who can barely speak to women is the most-watched show on television," Sonia Saraiya wrote. "'It's such a shame to see it go, just as it was starting to iron out many of its problems."
