Sorry uncle Jesse! ABC has confirmed that John Stamos' upcoming drama series titled "Members Only" has been scrapped ahead of its premiere airing.

Stamos, who is best known for his role as Jesse Katsopolis on the alphabet network's very successful sitcom "Full House," was supposed to be the lead star of the new series, alongside "The Following" star Natalie Zea, "Breaking Bad" actress Betsy Brandt, "The Tomorrow People" alum Luke Mitchell and "Save Me" actor Michael Landes, according to TV Line.

The show, which was originally titled "The Club" was ABC's attempt to making an upstairs/downstairs drama that is set in a Connecticut country club.

However, even before "Members Only" could air its pilot episode this January, ABC has decided to scrap it for undisclosed reasons.

Prior to its cancellation, Stamos' show was ordered straight to series from "Erin Brokovich" writer Susannah Grant, who was supposed to be the writer and executive producer.

"American Hustle" director David O. Russell was set to direct, co-write and executive-produce the series, but he bowed out of the project back in February, reports TV Guide.

The announcement that Stamos' show has been axed comes after ABC set premiere dates for a number of shows including "American Crime," "Galavant," "Marvel's Agent Carter" and "Secrets and Lies."

"Members Only" joins a number of TV shows that have been axed before they even started airing. Some of these shows are Fox's "Hieroglyph" and NBC's "Emerald City," "Mission," and "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," which is now shown on Netflix.

Meanwhile, though the 51-year-old singer-actor has not responded to the fate of his show, Stamos recently made a special appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" for another round of "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets."

In the famous segment, Stamos, who has been regarded as close to perfection for his looks, was criticized for his "gross" belly button, reports People.

Interestingly, instead of feeling bad for the mean tweet, the "ER" alum showed his belly button and agreed that it certainly looks a tad bizarre.

Other stars who were featured in the segment include: Gwyneth Paltrow, Chloe Moretz, Britney Spears, Chris Pratt and Lisa Kudrow, among others.
