Jep Robertson is glad to be alive after suffering a seizure while deer hunting last week.

The 36-year-old "Duck Dynasty" star, the youngest son of Phil Robertson and wife Kay Robertson, was rushed to a hospital after the incident, and is on the road to recovery.

"Earlier this week while deer hunting, Jep suffered from a seizure. Thankfully, he was in the stand with friends, and Willie was at the hunting camp when it occurred so he was by his side in a matter of minutes," the A&E family said in a statement to Us Weekly.

"Jep was rushed to the hospital and received immediate treatment. He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation, and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure," the West Monroe, Louisiana-based family continued.

"Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," the family added.

A rep for Jep also told TMZ that the seizure did not cause paralysis or other permanent damage.

Jep, whose full name is Jules Jeptha Robertson, recently took to Twitter to address the health scare. "Well, I about died this past Sunday...I'm doing much better now," he tweeted. "Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive."

He also posted a split photo of him posing in a hospital bed and an image of Steven Seagal, also in a hospital bed. "Just like Steven Seagal, I'm hard to kill," the caption on the snap read.

Jep and his wife Jessica Robertson share four kids together: Lily, Merritt, Priscilla, and River. The two celebrated their anniversary earlier this month.  "Happy Anniversary Babe! I couldn't imagine life without you! You are #myrock," Jep wrote on Twitter on Oct. 7.
