John Luke Robertson of the A&E reality TV series "Duck Dynasty" is now engaged!

John Luke, the eldest son of Willie Robertson and Korie Robertson, popped the question to his girlfriend Mary Kate McEacharn on his 19th birthday Saturday, Oct. 11, and later took to Instagram to share the response he got, People reported.

"She. Said. Yes. @missmarymcmcmc," John Luke wrote on the microblogging site along with a photo of his now fiancée flaunting her engagement ring next to a "Future Mrs. Robertson" sign being held by the groom-to-be.

"I am so excited to marry my best friend," John Luke told Us Weekly in a statement. "I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what 'could be' to me.  Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us."

The newly engaged couple attended Ouachita Christian School in Monroe, La. together. John Luke began dating Mary Kate, who is currently in college, around March, and the two have already traveled abroad together, E! News reported.

Korie also took to Twitter to confirm his son's engagement. "Yes, it's true @John316Luke923 proposed to this beauty @MaryKateMcE last night! We couldn't be more excited!! #love," she tweeted.

Rebecca Robertson, Willie and Korie's adopted foster daughter, also expressed her excitement about the news on social media. "She said YES @missmarymcmcmc so excited to be your sister," she wrote on Instagram along with a photo of her together with the couple.

John Luke's sister Sadie Robertson, who is currently appearing on the Season 19 of "Dancing With the Stars" on ABC, also came home to celebrate her brother's birthday and witness his proposal, Us Weekly noted.

The groom-to-be, which has appeared on 29 episodes of "Duck Dynasty," is also fiction writer. He wrote the book "Willie's Redneck Time Machine (Be Your Own Duck Commander)."
