Noel Gallagher has described Morrissey as the funniest man he has ever met, according to NME.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2 on Monday, the former Oasis chief songwriter and guitarist recalled a night he spent in Los Angeles with the former The Smiths frontman and British comedian Russell Brand.
"He's the funniest man I've ever met in my entire life. Absolutely side splitting," he said of Morrissey, who recently revealed undergoing treatments for cancer earlier this year, according to Digital Spy. "He's not a good word to say about anyone - he's very cutting. He bullied Russell," he continued.
In the interview, he also talked about his upcoming second solo album "Chasing Yesterday," which he recorded under the name Noel Gallagher & The High-Flying Birds, as with his first. The musician will release it on March 2, 2015, says Clash Music.
"I don't have a record deal - my management has to put it in a suitcase and hawk it around the world," he divulged. In connection to this status, he proceeded to share his thoughts on the present state of the music industry.
"I don't think the music business has a clue what's going on at the moment. I sat in a meeting recently, of how we're gonna release 'Chasing Yesterday', I got so frustrated. There's too much time devoted to how we're gonna release the record, just to get it out and get on the road," Gallagher said.
He also discussed the circumstances in which he conceived the title for the album, saying he picked it only recently after considering a number of other choices, only to grow distasteful of it later on.
"I dithered on the title for the album about two days ago when I had to submit it. I must have changed it 12 times," he said. "As soon as it went I thought, 'I hate it!'"
