A man claiming to be Iggy Azalea's husband has filed for divorce from the 24-year-old Australian rapper, TMZ reported.

According to court documents obtained by the celebrity gossip website, Hefe Wine, also known as Azalea's ex-boyfriend Maurice Williams, is seeking to end what seems to be a common law marriage between him and the recording artist.

Wine claims that he and the "Black Widow" hitmaker "agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September, 2008."

Wine states that they only started living separately last year.

In Texas, where the divorce was filed, a man and a woman who live together for any length of time are considered legally married if they agree to the term and hold themselves out to others as husband and wife.

Based on the divorce filing, Wine is asking the judge to disallow the rapper from selling various assets they accumulated during the alleged marriage.

He also asks the judge that he be entitled to any earnings from assets the rapper has accumulated during the span of their supposed union, EntertainmentWise reported.

In the event the judge acknowledges that wedding between the two, Wine will receive 50 percent of everything Azalea earned during their span of their union.

A representative for Azalea told TMZ that the rapper never held herself out as Wine's wife and never agreed to be married. The rep added the Wine's divorce filing is simply an attempt to get money from the Sydney, Australia-born rapper.

Azalea has been in a relationship with Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Nick Young since November 2013, and close friends of the couple are reportedly anticipating an engagement announcement.

"They only have a good time together," a source told Us Weekly. "It's a really fun relationship, they are always laughing and having fun. It's very light and drama-free with them. She has gotten really into basketball from him [and] he doesn't even mind going shopping with her which is rare! As long as they are together."
