"Mortdecai" star and Amber Heard's boyfriend Johnny Depp will film the fifth installment of movie franchise "The Pirates Of Caribbean" in Australia, the country's Minister For The Arts has confirmed.

Among other states in Australia and other areas in Mexico, Queensland was chosen as the filming location due to its generous tax rebate and other financial incentives, Daily Mail reported.

"With its oceans, beaches, and jungles, Queensland has an incredible array of natural environments which are perfect for our new 'Pirates of the Caribbean,'" Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer commented on the filming location.

The specific filming locations include Great Barrier Reef, Bowen, Tortuga, the Daintree rainforest, Paronella Park, Barron Falls, the Iron Range National Park, Hinchinbrook Island, Tthe Capricorn Caves and St Mary's-by-the-Sea chapel in Port Douglas, Brisbane Times has learned.

"Unbroken" directed by Brad Pitt's wife Angelina Jolie and "San Andreas" starring Dwayne Johnson were also filmed in Queensland recently.

The production of the film titled "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will start in February, 2015. Its first four box-office hit films were filmed in several exotic locations including the Bahamas and Hawaii.

Set to be released in 2017, the movie will be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg with Orlando Bloom, Jack Davenport, Geoffrey Rush, Mackenzie Crook, Lee Arenberg, Martin Klebba and Keith Richards joining Depp as main cast.

Meanwhile, new posters of the film "Mortdecai" feature Depp playing the title role and other main cast members Ewan McGregor, Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn with curly moustache, as shown in Movie Fone.

Based on the books written by Kyril Bonfiglioli, the story of "Mortdecai" revolves around Depp's title character, who is a sophisticated and somewhat reserved art dealer gets involved with terrorists, Russian gangsters and the British secret service. McGregor plays the investigator, Munn plays the seductress and Paltrow plays Mortdecai's wife.
