Official Plot Of ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Released

Entertainment company Walt Disney Studios has just released the official plot synopsis for the latest Marvel flick, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," according to IGN.

Based on Disney's release, the film starts with Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark trying to revive an old peacekeeping program. However, this triggers a series of unfortunate events that put the world in danger.

"'Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron,' the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time," Disney wrote.

"When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance," the studio continued.

The studio also hinted that an "uneasy alliance" will be formed as the Avengers go head to head against the main villain Ultron, played by James Spader, Nerdist reported.

The studio however did not mention who will be the group's new allies.

"As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure," Disney stated.

The main cast members of the first "Avengers" will return to reprise their roles in "Age of Ultron." In addition, Disney mentioned that Paul Bettany, who provided the voice of Stark's computer J.A.R.V.I.S., will appear in the film as Vision.

The studio also noted that the superhero group will fight against the siblings Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, respectively played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, Comic Book Resources reported.

"The team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell - bent on human extinction," the studio said.

"Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision," Disney added.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
