Rosie O'Donnell gave her two-cents on the recent drama surrounding "The View" and likened it to the popular movie franchise, "The Hunger Games."

Earlier this year, "The View" co-host Barbara Walters exited from the show, followed by Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy in August. A few weeks later, O'Donnell's return on the show was confirmed and it was revealed that she will be working with Whoopi Goldberg and two other co-hosts.

On September 3, ABC finally announced Shepherd and McCarthy's replacements and confirmed that Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace will be rounding out the panel, according to US Weekly.

"It was very much like the Hunger Games, how they did it. I think Whoopi and I were both a little shocked at having to do a chemistry test. I don't know if there's a way to test that. It felt very negative and competitive," O'Donnell told Variety.

"The Fosters" actress also revealed that several candidates for the show were asked to participate in mock debates with herself and Goldberg to see if there was any chemistry between them.

Back in 2007, O'Donnell exited from the show after she had a rift with then co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Talking about her experience at that time, O'Donnell said, "They day it happened, I was definitely crying. I got my stuff and walked out." She phoned her publicist and said, "I'm never going back. You have to call and tell them. Call the lawyer. No matter what they say, I will not go back."

As such, O'Donnell's return on "The View" came as a shock to almost everyone who first heard about it. After signing a one-year contract, the actress only has this to say:

"I think it's going to be must-see TV. My goal is to come in peace. And in contrast between what the show will be and what it was going to be glaring."

O'Donnell also threw shade at Sherri Shepherd who previously said on air that she wasn't sure whether or not the Earth was round or flat, ET Online noted.

"No one is going to think the Earth is flat. When I was at home watching that, I thought I was going to have an aneurysm."
