Orlando Bloom is reported to appear in the fifth installment of "Pirates of the Carribean."

When asked about whether he would return to the movie, the actor said, "There have certainly been discussions about it and I'm open to it," during the Oz Comic Con event held on Sept. 6 at Brisbane Australia.

The 37-year old actor starred in the first three movies of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise as Will Turner, a blacksmith-turned-pirate who falls in love with the governor's daughter, played by Keira Knightley,

However, Bloom's character was at a standstill after the first three installments.

Bloom said that he is considering re-joining with fellow actors Johnny Depp in the fifth instalment of the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."  Bloom revealed that Depp was a big influence on him, and that Depp was one of the reasons he starred in the movie.

"That whole experience working with Johnny and Gore was really amazing for me," Bloom added.

On the other hand, Bloom pointed out that if he does movies and theatre roles in the future, he wants them to be carried out somewhere near where his son with supermodel Miranda Kerr, three-year-old Flynn, is staying.

The movie is still in the works as writers are reported to still have discussions about the script, according to International Business Times.

Nevertheless, the movie is set to start filming early 2015, noted Daily Mail.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is expected to be filmed in Australia, since studio representatives have been reported to tour the Sydney Fox Studios and the Gold Coast Village Roadshow Studios in Australia.

The movie will be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, according to IMDb.

The two directors helmed the movie "Kon-Tiki," an action-adventure film about a historical expedition in 1947. They also directed "Bandidas," an action-comedy film starring Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales" is set to premiere on July 17, 2017.
