Joan Rivers may be showing good signs of improvement such that she has already been moved out of the ICU, her daughter, Melissa, revealed in her latest update on the "Fashion Police" host's condition, Us Weekly first reported.

In her latest statement on Wednesday, Sept. 3, Melissa said that her mother's condition has improved such that she has already been moved out of the intensive care unit of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

"My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable," Melissa said of the 81-year-old comedienne in the statement. "Thank you for your continued support."

Melissa's update comes just a day after she confirmed that Joan Rivers was on life support, according to CBS News.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received. At this time she does remain on life support," she said on Tuesday.

"I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers," she added at the time.

Last Thursday, Aug. 28, the E! celebrity was rushed to the hospital due to complications that arose during an outpatient procedure on her vocal cords. Rivers was then placed in a medically induced coma.

Though doctors have tried to bring the stand-up comic out of the coma on Sunday, she remains on life support.

Melissa and the rest of the Rivers family have been sending statements of appreciation to the supporters of the television personality since, reported ABC News.

"My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world," Melissa said in one of her initial statements.

"Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery."
