Brad Pitt recently paid tribute to his wife, Angelina Jolie's late mother, Marcheline Bertrand during their secret wedding in August.
Bertrand passed away in 2007 after her battle with ovarian cancer, but the 50-year-old Pitt made sure that she was there with them and their six children, at least in spirit, according to US Weekly.
Hello! magazine confirmed that Pitt had a stone engraved with a tribute to Bertrand at the spot where they exchanged their "I do's" at a chapel in Chateau Miraval.
"Brad and Angelina wanted the ceremony to be both simple and personal," a source told the publication.
Pitt also paid tribute to Bertrand by gifting Jolie with a small locket that contained a photo of her mother in it.
A source dished to UK's OK! Magazine, "It was a small locket with a photo of her mother inside it."
The couple's wedding, which was held at the Chateau Miraval in Correns was carefully selected because Pitt and Jolie thought it was the best venue for their six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, Vivienne and Knox, 6, TVNZ reported.
"They always wanted to have this weeding at the chapel at Miraval. That is their family home, it is where the children and they are at their happiest. There was never a question of this ceremony taking place anywhere else," the source revealed.
Meanwhile, Pitt and Jolie were together for the past nine years before they officially got married. The couple has been engaged for quite some time now and their wedding ceremony came as a surprise to most of their family members, friends and fans.
Still, the successful wedding that was attended by approximately 20 guests, witnessed the couple's touching union. Not to mention, all of their six children had special parts during the ceremony itself.
