Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross tied the knot Sunday night Aug. 31, in a private ceremony in Greenwich, Conn. at the estate of the groom's mother, Diana Ross.

The 70-year-old The Supremes lead vocalist was the one who planned the wedding, Us Weekly reported.

She also served as the officiant, according to E! News, and even performed at the special occasion.

Jessica Simpson, Ashlee's big sister, was the maid of honor, while her daughter Maxwell, 2, and son Ace, 14 months, served as the flower girl and ring bearer respectively.

Reality TV star Cacee Cobb was one of the bridesmaids while Ross' half-sister Tracee Ellis Ross was the evening's emcee.

Bronx, Ashlee's 5 1/2-year-old son with former husband and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, walked her down the aisle.

The bride wore a striking, pearl-embellished long sleeved wedding dress, which she matched with $750,000-worth of Neil Lane rubies and diamonds and a tiara. His groom, on the other hand, sported a black velvet tux with a white silk trim.

Evan, 26, who will play Messalla in "The Hunger Games:  Mockingjay - Part 1 and 2" popped the question with a Neil Lane ring while they were on vacation. He announced the happy news on Jan. 13 via Twitter, writing, "The love of my life said YES!!!!!!."

Ashlee, 29, also took to Twitter to share the good news with her fans. "My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii !!!!!" she tweeted.

Their engagement announcement was soon followed by a party in March at the home of Simpson's mother, Tina, and a bohemian bridal shower earlier this month at Jessica's L.A. home, People reported.

This is the first marriage for Evan, and the second for Ashlee, who married Pete in 2008. Ashlee filed for divorce from his first husband, citing irreconcilable differences in February 2011. It was finalized in November 2011.
