Calvin Harris has been named as the world's highest paid DJ, with a massive $66 million earning within the past 12 months.

The 30-year-old DJ has been dubbed as the world's highest paid DJ for the second time in a row on Forbes' Electronic Cash Kings list, according to the Daily Mail.

Harris' earnings last year was $20 million more than what he earned in 2012, the same publication noted.

In an interview with Forbes, the "Feel So Close" DJ said, "The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years. I happened to be in the right place at the right time."

Harris reportedly played at more than 50 gigs at various clubs and festivals throughout 2013, garnering him the prestigious title, NME reported.

The DJ is followed by David Guetta with $30 million and Avicii landed third on the list with $28 million. Fourth on the list is Tiesto, who tied with Avicii at $28 million and then Steve Aoki with $23 million, Spin noted.

Also making it to the list is Afrojack with $22 million, followed by Zedd with $21 million, Kaskade with $17 million, Skrillex with $16.5 million, Deadmau5 with $16 million, Hardwell with $13 million, Armin van Buuren with $12 million and Steve Angello with $12 million, the same publication confirmed.

Forbes' Electronic Cash Kings list took into consideration every DJ's earning from June 1 2013 to June 1 2014, including earnings from live shows, merchandise sales, endorsements, record sales and other external business ventures, according to NME.

Meanwhile, Harris' success didn't necessarily come without a price. Just recently, the DJ had  a Twitter spat with his ex-girlfriend Rita Ora over their collaboration, "I Will Never Let You Down."

More recently, Ora revealed that Harris prevented her from performing their song at the recently concluded Teen Choice Awards, the Daily Mail noted.
