Rita Ora was completely shocked when her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris announced their split via Twitter. Apparently the "I Will Never Let You Down" singer had no plans on addressing their break up until his message caught her by surprise.

According to E! News, when speaking of the end of their romance during a chat with Glamour U.K.'s September issue the blonde beauty said, "Honestly, if Calvin hadn't done it, I wouldn't have done it," adding, "It took me five days to write three sentences. It was a massive...I don't know."

Rita Ora admitted, "We both work really hard," adding, "We're both all over the place."

Ricky Hil's 23-year-old rumored girlfriend explained, "And I'd always denied it, always said, 'If you really want something, you'll do it!'"

The "Black Widow" songstress continued "When I go for something, I go in 100 percent. So it was a wake up call."

Although it seems like Calvin Harris and Rita Ora have both moved on, the "R.I.P." singer insisted that's not the case.

She explained, "I'm gonna tell you the truth: I'm not doing too great," adding, "But, I'm doing better than I thought. I adore him and he's such an amazing human being. It was more about the situation. It was inconvenient. It sucks. It wasn't about 'us.' It was about the world we live in."

Post break up, Ora has leaned on her famous friends Cara Delevingne and Ellie Goulding. She admitted, "Only a few people in this industry stick by their word and those girls do," adding, "It's a pact. I can smell the difference."

The Kosovo-born, England-raised artist revealed that despite her dependable girlfriends the women in her life who has been her biggest inspiration is her dear mother.

Rita revealed, "When I see my mum I remember the struggle of adjusting, to pick up two kids and a husband and adapt to a new world, new language, no job," adding, "That's what you call a f--king inspirational woman."
