Mischa Barton is in a bit of a pickle. According to TMZ, "The O.C." star's Beverly Hills mansion could face foreclosure if she doesn't quickly come up with $100k. She bought the home in 2005, when the teen drama was still in its prime.

The site obtained documents reading the star missed over $100k in payments.

Barton put the house on the market for the first time in 2010, with a listing price of $8.695m. She originally bought it for $6.4m, and took out a $4.2m loan.

She did not receive any takers and relisted in 2011, only to experience the same outcome. Barton even tried to rent the place for $35k/month.

The 90210 abode boasts 1.2 acres of property, including eight bedrooms, 11 baths, and three guest houses.

It is no secret Barton has struggled since the 2007 wrap of the series. She has taken on smaller acting roles, but faced a similar problem in 2010 with her New York residence. According to Fox News, her landlord sued her for missing three $7k rent payments.

She was publicly busted for DUI, possession of marijuana, and driving without a valid license, and later placed under involuntary psychiatric-hold. Like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, the blonde beauty was adored by paparazzi, which became invasive to her privacy.

Last year Barton spoke with The Daily Beast about living life out of the spotlight.

"Luckily, [I'm not] so much in the spotlight," she said. The craziness of 'The O.C.' has died down and gone away."

"I just think there's a negative side-obviously, that's an understatement-to having all that attention," she said later in the interview. "Because it's not friendly. It's invasive. I find in order to get your job done, actors need a certain amount of anonymity. You're being blown up to that extent, and everybody is following every little piece of your life. 'Oh, she went to Starbucks to get a Frappuccino with a caramel.' Then they follow you to the gas station. It's impossible to concentrate on the work. When you just want to go on vacation and you hear a twig snap and there's a guy in a tree, it's not relaxing. You can't be a real person. So I'm happy things have changed."
