Former MTV star Mike Sorrentino accepted a plea deal after assaulting his brother at their family business. Once he completes 12 weeks of anger management, the charge will be dropped from assault to disorderly conduct.

Sorrentino, who referred to himself as "The Situation" on hit reality series "Jersey Shore," told TMZ he was not looking forward to anger management, but could probably use it.

His attorney adds it will be done on one-on-one basis.

We told you last month the reality star was arrested at Boca Tanning in Middletown, N.J., which he owns with his family. He got in a fist fight with brother, Frank, and posted $500 bail.

The former MTV star told photographers Frank "was not running the store correctly, so I had to go in there and clean house, in more ways than one."

His right eye appeared bruised and there are scratches on his neck. According to Police Lt. Stephen Dollinger, Sorrentino was the only one charged in the incident.

Sorrentino's family, including Frank, were on hand for today's sentencing. They all star in new reality show "The Sorrentinos" together, which documents their new business and Sitch's love life with high school girlfriend Lauren.

He also sought help for a painkiller addiction after a stint on "Dancing with the Stars," which he opened up about in 2012.

"Mike today? I wake every day these days with a smile," Sitch said upon completion. "Happy to be alive. Happy to have the family that I have. Happy to have the fans that I have, the friends. Happy to be involved in the show ... almost like a smell-the-roses moment. ... I know where I am and I know where I'm gonna be and that's all that counts."

"During the last 80 days I've received an e-mail from Vinny, texts from Pauly, I think a text from Ronnie, [and] from Jenni. At the end of the day, all the kids care for each other. I'm sure some of them didn't know how to handle it," he continued.

The star explained the extent of his struggle to the Associated Press.

"All I had to do was get dressed for a family function and I couldn't do that," Sorrentino revealed. "The shirt was laid out, the belt, the pants, everything. The shower was on. I couldn't even get out of bed."

He then added, "If I can't [get dressed], how am I going to continue?"
