A new Facebook data analysis shows how Brazil's fan loyalty changed after the World Cup host country failed to enter the final game, which will now be played by Germany and Argentina on July 13 in Rio de Janeiro.

Partly based on the contents of Facebook users' posts, the analysis reflects the views of people who follow the World Cup and shows World Cup fans' global opinion on which country they are rooting for among Brazil, United States, Germany, and Argentina for the final match, New York Times reported.

According to the analysis, 71% of Facebook users who live in Brazil support Germany while the other 29% support Argentina after Brazil lost to the Netherlands for third place 3-0.

In general, 55% of all World Cup fans in the world support Germany while the other 45% support Argentina.

On the other hand, while 50% of Facebook users who live in the United States root for Argentina and 50% root for Germany, 81% of those who are in the Netherlands support Germany and the other 19% support Argentina.

It was also found out that 95% of Facebook users who live in Argentina support Argentina, and about 96% of those who are in Germany support Germany.

With Germany and Argentina playing in the final match, Sunday, Brazil spent approximately a billion dollars in security costs, which is five times what South Africa spent during the World Cup in 2010, according to CBS News.

The deployment of 25,000 troops, military police, firefighters and national guardsmen is the largest ever Rio de Janeiro's history. The state's security chief Jose Mariano Beltrame said, "It is an immense responsibility, and we are working to prevent this kind of situation."

In June, the protests at the Maracana Stadium prompted the city's new $45 million command and control center to redeploy forces.

During the Germany-Argentina match, police will focus both on protesters and fans. The 18-carat gold trophy will be presented by Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff and FIFA President Sepp Blatter to the winners, US News has learned.

Rio de Janiero will also host the Summer Olympics in 2016.
