Kiera Knightley Reveals She Only Allows Herself $50,000 Per Year Budget

Kiera Knightley is worth around a reported $50 million, but the starlet is determined to stay grounded! She opened up to Glamour about her yearly budget in a new interview.

"It's something around that, I mean, if I want or need something that goes over that, I get it, but, yes, around that," she told the mag of her $50,000 per year allowance.

"I think living an [expensive] lifestyle means you can't hang out with people who don't live that lifestyle. It alienates you. Some of my best, most hilarious times have been in the least luxurious places."

The "Love Actually" star banked roughly $2.3 million last year in films and commercial deals.

A source recently revealed to news.com.au that "Keira took home $31,000 in dividends from the company in 2012 and a salary of $17,000. Her biggest expenditure put through the books was $64,000 on security but she spent little else. Her travel costs were just over $6000."

They then added, "The accounts also show that she did not shell out a penny on clothes and make-up."

She even wore a recycled pink tulle Chanel dress to her wedding with James Righton in the South of France last year. Only 11 guests attended the ceremony, and 50 came to the reception.

"Every time I've worn that dress, I've had a fantastic night and if you've got a dress where you've always had a fantastic night, it's worth having another fantastic night in it," Knightley explained.

"When James proposed, I just thought, 'Well, never done that before.' It seemed like a fun thing to do," she recalled of the pair's engagement.

The actress did admit she had a custom-made Valentino dress for a secret second ceremony.
