Coming Soon: Iman Cosmetics CC Correct & Cover Powder

Iman will add onto her cosmetics repertoire with her first CC Cream!

Many other skin care brands have moved down the alphabet when it comes to their products. Color correction items, better known as CC, have been a hit in the beauty world so far since being introduced more than a year ago. But the legendary supermodel was in no rush to cross over into the category, taking her time to craft her newest treatment, CC Correct & Cover Powder to Cream Concealer. Available in five shades, the formula is made for hard-to-match, multicultural skin tones.

The veteran cat walker explained that a woman's complexion matters to her. "In my own family, my sisters, me and my mom are four different shades, so a lot of the time it's not even about the ethnic background, it's just the skin tone," said Iman, founder and chief executive officer of Iman Cosmetics, to Women's Wear Daily. "The requirements of every woman are the same, regardless if she is as light as a Swedish girl or as dark as a Nubian girl from Sudan in Africa, it doesn't matter - everybody wants the same thing, beautiful, flawless skin tone. Everybody is looking for that - make me look beautiful: Me. I don't want to look like someone else."

The latest treatment is designed to hydrate while filling fine lines. The formula features amino acids, protein, vitamins B, C and E, along with beta-carotene. Iman also included the Indian herb, boerhaavia diffusa to reduce inflammation, balance skin tone and correct complexion irregularities.

And the powder-to-cream formula is the perfect complement to the cosmetics company's BB treatment.

"We love the BB cream for lighter coverage but obviously we have to use a concealer, for dark circles and [areas of concern]," said Iman. "It's not a traditional concealer. It fades completely. You don't need that much powder and it's a perfect match - you don't see where it starts or where it stops."

Coinciding with the cream's launch, the brand will introduce a new app, which is designed to bring the beauty consultant experience to everyone for free. Users can snap their pictures and adjust the images' light quality. Then, customers will receive shade recommendations for foundations and powders, as well as additional product ideas for a variety of looks.

The five shades of Iman CC creams are priced at $15 each. The products will pre-launch online this Dec. 15 before rolling out to nearly 2,000 U.S. stores, including Walgreens and Target. The items will also be available on Ulta.com on Jan. 1.
