Set to film in Australia, the fifth installment of the film franchise "Pirates Of The Caribbean" is looking for cast members to play roles alongside Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush, Daily Mail has learned.
Australian actors of all experience levels and of all ages are needed to play several roles including pirate lords, swashbuckling sailors, ghostly crew members and mermaids.
While casting has opened in the United States, Disney officials have confirmed the auditions will also be open to aspiring Australian actors.
"In terms of opportunities, the production will create many jobs tapping into Australia's robust entertainment industry. And many accomplished local craftsmen will provide a fantastic home base for our production," Disney executive Alannah Hall-Smith told the Cairns Post.
After the Australian government agreed to over $20.2 million tax incentive, key scenes of the film entitled "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be filmed in Queensland.
With the budget estimated to be around $250 million, "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5" is expected to be a great economic advantage to Australians.
Aside from Depp returning as Captain Jack Sparrow and Geoffrey Rush returning as Captain Barbossa, Orlando Bloom is also expected to reprise his role as Will Turner.
During the Oz Comic Con in September, Bloom said he is "in discussions" to be in "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5."
Meanwhile, Depp is currently filming the 2015 action-adventure film "Yoga Hosers," which also stars his daughter Lily-Rose Depp and director Kevin Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith. Justin Long, who also stars in the movie, has not shared any scenes yet with Depp, but recently commented that, "It was great to watch him."
"I'm not always a fan of meeting people I admire. I've been let down too many times but I'm happy to report that he is incredibly down-to-earth and nice and playful," Long told The Sydney Morning Herald of Depp who plays French-Canadian detective named Guy Lapointe in "Yoga Hosers."
