Jackie Chan: Chinese Myths Are Nonsense; 'The Monk' Actor Jaycee Chan Stars In Computer Game With 'Where’s Wally' Theme After Drug Arrest But May Never Star In Movie Again

"Rush Hour" actor Jackie Chan, a wildlife conservation and education advocate, recently described Chinese myths as nonsense.

"Chinese people still think that if you eat pig's brain, it'll make you more clever and if you drink pig's blood, it cleans the toxins form your body. I did this when I was young. It's nonsense," Chan told British newspaper Metro, as cited by Belfast Telegraph.

The 60-year-old action superstar from Hong Kong added, "It's like you put tiger balm on if you get hurt but it still hurts. We need to teach people that there are better things to use now. And it's important to preserve wildlife."

With 120 acting credits, Chan has also directed several films, the latest being the 2012 film "Chinese Zodiac," which is about a man searching for a set 12 bronze heads of the animals from the Chinese zodiac.

Also starring Nathan Boyd, Terry Hackett, John Paisley and Laura Weissbecker among others, "Chinese Zodiac" earned two Guinness World Records "Most Stunts Performed by a Living Actor" and "Most Credits in One Movie."

"When I direct my own films, I like action but I hate violence. You can have fun with it. And after, everyone has to become friends. And I don't like swearing in films," Chan said adding that he wants to be "an actor who can do action" and not "an action star."

Meanwhile, his son Jaycee Chan recently starred in an internet game called The National Search for Jaycee, which has received over 60 million views on Chinese messaging app WeChat, according to BBC.

The viral computer game is similar to the theme of British illustrator Martin Handford's series of children's books titled "Where's Wally?"

His lead roles in "The National Search for Jaycee" and in the 2015 film "The Monk" may be his last after 16 top film and television companies issued a joint statement declaring the ban of actors involved in prostitution, gambling or drug abuse, Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Prior to this, the 31-year-old actor was arrested on drugs charges along with 23-year-old Taiwanese actor Kai Ko.

His father has already released a statement expressing his shock and disappointment.
