Lindsay Lohan is single and "not ready" for a new romance yet.

A representative for the 28-year-old "Mean Girls" star has denied rumors that she started dating Patrick Mahony, an older investment banker with two children in London this summer, while preparing to make her West End debut in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow."

"It's not true. She's single," her representative told Daily Mail Friday, Aug. 22 of the speculations.

Claims that Lohan has found a new love in London was first reported by In Touch Thursday.

An insider told the celebrity gossip magazine that Lohan has fallen for Mahony while rehearsing for "Speed-the-Plow," and is now living with him and his two young daughters.

"Lindsay helps the kids take baths. She really pitches in looking after them, and the girls really like her," a second source tells the magazine, noting that the actress is doing better than ever. "She's finally in a mature relationship with a really grounded guy."

But when asked if she was in a relationship by Daily Mail just last week, she replied, "No, no. I'm focused on me. I'm not ready to be in anything right now."

Earlier this month, several news websites, including The Hollywood Gossip, also suspected that someone had proposed to the actress during her trip to Greece as she was photographed wearing a giant rock on her finger.

She described her recent Europe trip, however, as "chill" and insisted there was no romance between any of the handsome men she was photographed with.

Meanwhile, Lohan flew back to New York from London in order to check all legal obligations out of the way before her stage play debut.

"Lindsay had to fly back to New York to complete some of her community service hours," a source told The Sun, and as reported by Cover Media. "She was advised to get it out of the way before appearing in her West End play Speed-the-Plow. Rehearsals start next week in London."
