Let's hope that Ashley Benson stays safe as the "Pretty Little Liars" season 5 cast member has managed to secure a temporary restraining order against a 49-year-old man who, according to court documents "has admitted that he believes he has been instructed by God to pursue" the actress "romantically."

According to E! News, the ABC Family star filed a TRO petition on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. It states that "Benson was anxious, worried and fearful when she learned about" his "threatening intentions."

James P. Gorton has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from and refrain from contacting the 24-year-old starlet who plays Hanna Marin on the hit series, pending a hearing to determine whether to extend the order scheduled for July 9th.

In a declaration that was included with the petition, Ashley Benson stated that she first became aware of Gorton's actions on June 11th which is when her manager, Thor Bradwell, showed her a picture of the man who she recognized as a security guard on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California.

The "Spring Breakers" star revealed that Bradwell told her "Gorton has expressed sexual feelings" toward her and "had stated that he is acting under instructions from God to pursue a romantic relationship" with her after falling in love with her "over a year ago" after seeing her in a coffee shop near the lot.

Benson stated, "I am also told that Mr. Gorton believes that God has spoken to him through my character on Pretty Little Liars." Since filing the court documents, Gorton has been forbidden from coming to work on the lot.

The blonde beauty's stated that she is still "concerned and afraid" that he will try to approach her at home or find other means to try and get in contact with her.

Rick Warmack, Vice President of studio protection for Warner Bros. revealed that Gorton, who worked as a part-time security officer there, had told members of his church that he "planned to marry" Ashley Benson.

Gorton also told him that he and Ryan Good's girlfriend were meant to "spread the Gospel together" and, in Gorton's words, "'live happily every after.'"
