We are going to have to wait to watch heartthrobs Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum grace the big screen. Warner Brothers announced Wednesday they will postpone the release date from July 2014 to February 2015.

The Daily News calls the switch "highly unusual" in the industry, but Warner Bros. chief Dan Fellman told Variety the $150 million motion picture needed more special effects.

"With the July release date, they were just not going to make it on time," Fellman said. "A lot of the issue for us was getting it ready for the international release, since the foreign territories need additional time."

In the movie we see Kunis, who is engaged and expecting a baby with "That '70s Show" co-star Ashton Kutcher, as a house cleaner who learns from alien-warrior Tatum that she is a galactic princess.

Fellow co-stars include the likes of Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, and Christina Cole.

The Sci-Fi flick was brought on by Lana and Andy Wachowski, who were masterminds behind "The Matrix" and are very well known for intricate special effects.

"Jupiter Ascending" was co-financed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow. This last minute move bumped Liam Neeson's "Run All Night" out of its February 6 release date.  The movie will now compete with Johnny Depp's "Mortdecai."

This is not good news for Warner Bros., who saw disappointing box office sales for Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's "Blended." They are also having a hard time with Tom Cruise's upcoming "Edge of Tomorrow," though it received rave reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter notes other blockbusters that postponed their original premiere date. "World War Z," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," and "The Dark Knight Rises" are among the prestigious list.
