As "Degrassi" season 13 returns for its summer premiere, its seems like some of the characters on the show are having a hard time adjusting to life following the mid-season finale, while other cast member's character's are gracefully accepting what has happened.
According to E! News, in the latest spoiler in the form of a new sneak peek clip, we see Ali (Melinda Shankar) turn down quality time with her best friend Clare (Aislinn Paul) for a hot dance session with her new boyfriend Dallas (Demetrius Joyette).
In the finale we saw Clare break up with Eli (Munro Chambers) ultimately choosing Drew (Luke Bilyk) to be the new guy in her life however, the student body president quickly realized that he would simply be her rebound and walked away from the romance.
Fast forward to present day, Clare attempts to get Ali to join a triathlon with her however, Ali already has plans.
The "Degrassi" problem child who has been married, divorced, infected with an STD and beaten has finally found a guy who she believes is the one so of course she isn't going to blow off a hot salsa dancing session with him for getting sweaty over a long run.
In the sneak peek Clare complains about being "utterly single," to which Drew walks in talking about being psyched for a "forbidden dance" lesson.
The mere presence of Drew is enough to make Clare back down from her plea to Ali and instead do the triathlon alone.
Aside from the Clare and Drew relationship drama in the summer premiere we will also see Maya trying to keep Zig on the straight path to success however, she will find this difficult seeing as her snooping leads her to find a bag of drugs, confirming her worst fears.
Meanwhile, Miles' best friend Winston finally gets his own storyline and decides it's his turn to find his very first girlfriend at Degrassi High School.
The only problem for our amateur Romeo is that he quickly realizes that his perfect girl has been right under his nose for a very long time (Miles' little sister).
"Degrassi" Season 13's summer premiere airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on TeenNick.
