Stick to hosting, Ryan Seacrest! He surprised fans on the season 13 finale of "American Idol" by singing Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting For You." He was even joined on stage by Marx himself!

"All season I've been trying to get our star quarterback, Mr. Ryan Seacrest, to sing a little something for us," Randy Jackson said. "And now, I've got his whole family on board with it!"

The KIIS-FM radio host's family was in the audience alongside Jackson.

"Randy, it took a lot of convincing to get him to agree to sing a song from his very first concert in Atlanta: Richard Marx," Seacrest's mom, Connie, said. "I remember driving him to the Fox Theater."

The "Idol" host sang most of the song while Marx played on the piano, leading to a standing ovation from judges Henry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.

"You killed it @RyanSeacrest!!" Lopez tweeted after the show.

"by 'it' you mean the pentatonic scale right?? ha thnk u jen." He replied.

Connick joked Seacrest could have a record deal by the end of the night.

Guess it's about time the host felt what it is like to be a contestant on the show.

Caleb Johnson was crowned "American Idol" winner for season 13, against Jena Irene. They performed a series of songs together, including Queen's "We Will Rock You," No Doubt's "Just a Girl," and Tina Turner and Bryan Adams' "It's Only Love."

Johnson then performed solo, belting "Love Gun" and "Shout It Out Loud," while Irene went with Paramore's "Decode," before being joined by the band for "Aint It Fun."
