It seems like James Franco just can't catch a break. After being named on Lindsay Lohan's Hollywood sex list, the 35-year-old was accused of allegedly flirted with tourist Lucy Clode, 17, on Instagram and now the first trailer for his drama "Palo Alto" debuted.

This may seem all well and good but it turns out in the film Franco's character in a high school coach who is sleeping with a student.

According to E! News, the film is based on Franco's book of short stories and directed by Gia Coppola. It tells the story of a group of high school students in California.

In the trailer we see Franco play a high school soccer coach who becomes intimate with one of the teen players played by Emma Roberts. The actor is seeing kissing the 23-year-old starlet and their characters qickly get hot and heavy.

In one scene, Franco's character tells Evans Peter's fiancé, "I'm older and I know that there aren't a lot of good things around."

"Palo Alto" has received an R-rating due to the strong use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use and pervasive language.

The film also stars "Pretty Little Liars" actor Keegan Allen, Val Kilmer, Christian Madsen, Chris Messina and Natt Wolf.

The movie will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 24th and at the San Francisco International Film Festival on May 3rd.

James Franco published his collection of short stories in 2010 and a number of other works later on.

He told Los Angeles Magazine, "The book Palo Alto is a set of connected stories, so you get much more of the exterior behavior. You get more of a sense of narrative."

The actor went on to say, "In the poems, although you get place and character, it's a much more inward-looking presentation of those characters."
