Despite her somewhat brutal childhood "Revenge" season 3 star Emily VanCamp opened up about her younger years and even gave some details about her relationship with boyfriend Josh Bowman.

According to the Daily Mail, the blonde bombshell posed for the April issue of InStyle Australia.

The ABC star grew up in a rural town in Ontario, Canada, and spoke about her mother's idea of punishment when she was younger.

VanCamp revealed that the matriarch would lock her and her sisters out of the house in freezing temperatures.

She explained, "My mom would lock us out of the house."

The actress confirmed that she and her sisters would be stuck in the cold during the dead of winter. She revealed, "Oh, yeah, Are you kidding me?"

Emily VanCamp continued, "We come from tough stock. It gets freezing there but you'd just see little snowsuits running around. It was part of my childhood that shaped me."

Things have since changed seeing as the 27-year-old now resides in Los Angeles with her on- and off-screen boyfriend Josh Bowmen.

The two both star on "Revenge" together. When asked about her hot British beau the actress simply said, "I have a wonderful love in my life."

Aside from her successful television career Emily VanCamp also starred alongside Chris Evans in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as Agent 13, Sharon Carter. The film is set to hit theaters on April 4th.
