Following her boyfriend Cory Monteith's tragic death Lea Michele his done her best to move on from her loss however, she is making sure that people know that the young star was more than his addiction.
According Us Weekly, during an interview with the April 2014 cover story for Seventeen Magazine that was promoted on Twitter, the "Glee" season 5 star insisted that her boyfriend was much more than his struggles.
She explained, "I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction - unfortunately, it won."
The actress admitted, "But that wasn't who he was. Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, 'I'm your boyfriend,' I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful."
Prior to his death the 31-year-old openly admitted that he struggle with a heroin addiction and even entered rehab several times.
In the end it was a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol that took the Fox star's life.
Michele, 27, recently released her first solo studio album "Louder" which features a few tribute songs to her late boyfriend that have since helped her come to terms with the painful loss.
The gorgeous brunette explained, "I set out to make a really pop-heavy album that was fun and empowering, but then I found myself picking and writing these songs that were very emotional and dramatic."
Lea Michele continued, "Louder" has songs that express extreme love and some pain. I look at it and think, That was my year. I didn't record any songs that I didn't completely relate to."
Her latest single off the album, "If You Say So," describes her final conversation with Cory Monteith before his untimely death.
