Lupita Nyong'o graced the 2014 Oscar red carpet in a duck egg Prada gown. In other words a light blue custom designer dress that fell perfectly on her tiny petite fame.
However, despite her stunning red carpet moment her biggest win was taking home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for "12 Years a slave".
Nyong'o gave an emotional speech as she took home the award for her role as Patsey in the Steve McQueen film.
While thanking everyone who helped her get to where she is in life, she finished off her speech with the words, "No matter where you're from your dreams are valid."
The 31-year-old Kenyan has received a lot of buzz this award season and it seems that her career is headed for much success following her Oscar award win.
Lupita Nyong'o beat out the likes of Jennifer Lawrence in "American Hustle," Julia Roberts in "August: Osage County," Sally Hawkins in "Blue Jasmine" and June Squibb in "Nebraska."
