Emma Roberts has been receiving a lot of attention following her engagement to boyfriend Evan Peters but she recently admitted that her costar initially didn't like her.

When the couple first met on the set of their dark comedy "Adult World" the actor wasn't really interested in dating his current fiancé.

According to E! News, the actress sat down with Chelsea Handler for an interview on her talk show and talked about her relationship. She explained, "We met on the movie. Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn't, not for a long time after."

She added, "I actually, on the set, was like, 'Oh yeah, we're totally gonna date.' And I would like flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I'd be like, 'Hey, what's up?'" The actress described as she batted her eyelashes.

However, Emma Roberts admitted her efforts resulted in failure. She confessed, "And he literally didn't speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird."

The "American Horror Story: Coven" actress said that her movie wardrobe was not exactly helping her win her costar's attention.

She said, "I had no makeup, it looks like I cut my own hair off, so I was not exactly looking cute to get a man."

After getting denied the actress admitted that later on it was Evan Peters who started up the romance between the two.

She told the host, "Definitely not me! I'm a lady," she giggled. The blonde sporting her new bob haircut continued, "He texted me and then we got together."

It wasn't too long after she finished "Adult World" that Roberts was cast in the FX series. She explained, "They asked me to be on American Horror Story, and it was actually one of my favorite shows. They said this season was going to be Coven, and I was obsessed with every witch show as a kid, so I was like, 'If I get to play a witch, yes, I'm in.' And I got to play a witch who's also a bitch, which was really fun, because I get to be really mean to everyone all day. That was a pretty fun character to get to do."
