Zac Efron looks like he has a busy and successful 2014 to look forward to however, the "Neighbors" star had a troubled 2013. The 26-year-old actually completed a secret stint in rehab last spring.
According to Us Weekly, the "High School Musical" actor has not spoke about his troubled past but in a new interview on January 21st the Disney alumni opened up about his personal life.
During an appearance on the "Today Show" to promote his upcoming movie "That Awkward Moment," the actor gave anchor Savannah Guthrie some inside details.
After answering some questions about the romantic comedy, the actor spoke about life post rehab.
Zac Efron said, "I'm in the best place that I've ever been in," adding, "I've never been this happy before. I'm extraordinarily grateful for these guys and to be here promoting this movie. Things are good. Thank you for asking."
The single Hollywood heartthrob who also happens to be an executive director in his latest film seemed to have a positive outlook throughout the interview.
Back in December, the Efron was spotted sitting court side at a Los Angeles Lakers game wearing a blue Alcoholics Anonymous six months sobriety chip.
A source revealed, "He's had to go from being a party boy to being completely sober," adding, "It's going to take time, but he's handling it well."
