This week, we honor classic beauty, Betty Brosmer, as our Thursday Throwback

Known for her super bodacious bod, this beautiful fitness guru was a super popular pin-up girl, author, and then went on to become the co-founder of Shape Magazine. Talk about beauty and brains!

With her unmistakable good looks, Betty began her career by winning dozens and dozens of beauty pageants. She would soon go on to be the crowned winner of fifty beauty queen competitions. This impressive stat makes it easy to understand why Brosmer was the highest paid pin-up girl of the 1950's.

The gorgeous centerfold would later become a popular fitness model alongside her equally legendary husband, Joe Weider, who co-founded the iconic Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition, which would help to make actor Arnold Schwarzenegger famous.

So after we drooled over Betty's amazing figure showcased in shot after throwback shot (her hourglass proportions were an astonishing 37-18-36 inches!), we finally were able to focus on her classic pin up hair and makeup.

With such amazing features, Betty didn't have to do much for the camera. Her makeup echoed the trends of the era, with perfectly pristine skin that was always the focus and base of her glam shots. Brows were slightly arched and thinned out towards the ends. A soft blush shade added a hint of flush to cheeks and lip shades were often a sultry shade of crimson. Pair that with brushed out pin curls and you have instant bombshell Brosmer status.
